Fixtures Update as we enter final 4 weeks

Update from Fixtures Secretary

As we are now in the final 4 weeks of the season, Since the restart it has been challenging for everyone.

We have worked together and found solutions where we can on the whole. Though there has been some cases were no solution was possible, which resulted in points being awarded to the opposition.

What has been good the majority of clubs have advised of there difficulties in good time, which has opened up more options.

Sadly we have had to issue our first fines for not following rules for postponements this week, we hate issuing fines.

The difference to the other sides that resulted in being fined is that the offending club decided to advise of team availability issues with 24 hours before the scheduled match. The other offending club has still to notify they league of the reasons for not fulfilling a fixture. Only the opposition was advised again 24 hours prior.

We have made it a mission not to fine sides where we can and work with the clubs.

Though now we are in the final weeks, if you encounter any issues as the longer it is left we enter situations that can be avoided.

On a positive note we are exploring the possibility of have our Steve Etcell memorial final, the end of season final when the winners of the Premier League and County League meet each other for the trophy in memory of a great servant to the league.

This then allows for the end of season league trophies to be presented to the league winners. Fingers crossed on this so keep checking the website and social media for any further news.

Enjoy the rest of the season
