Andrew Bandelow Group Stages

Since the initial way we were going to run the cups group stage was communicated. We have welcomed another member to the league we have had to review and ultimately change the format of the group changes.

It will work as follows;

We will have 3 groups of 5 teams

Each team will play 2 games at Home and 2 games away, a total of 4 games

Who you play at home and away will depend on where you are drawn, once drawn that is the game schedule and the fixtures will be scheduled based on pitch availability.

The draw will be made at the first committee meeting of the season in September, you are welcome to attend if you wish for the draw before the committee meeting begins on Tuesday 3rd September at the Falconer, Welton from 7:15pm.

The top 2 teams will go through to the knockout stages along with the best 2 third placed teams. These will be separated in the following order if there is a tie on points,

Goals scored
Fewest goals conceded

If still level then a play off match will be scheduled with costs being shared, with a draw to determine the home side.

The games one scheduled for the group stages any unfulfilled fixtures and there is a clear offended the points will be awarded to the opposition and the offending side will be subject to a charge for failing to fulfil a fixture, which could lead to a fine, which we want to avoid.
